Hydrant Met Sky
I took the number 1 train and got off at Christopher Circle in the West Village. I did not have to walk far to meet up with my photo for today. This hydrant looked silver at first, but as the daylight starts to fade, the silver turned to lavender. I thought at first this was because of the lighting, but I soon realized it was painted with a metallic paint that changes the silver to a lavender colour in the dark. Perhaps it was this same metallic paint that cause the right side of the hydrant to turn green every time a yellow taxi passes by. ÊÊÊÊÊÊÊ By the way, it was the gum stuck on the side that make me pick this particular hydrant.
